COLLEGE EXAMINATION COMMITTEE
The goals of the Arts & Commerce College Warwat Bakal examination committee are to facilitate equitable assessment and grading of students’ performance, preserve the integrity and security of the examination process, and guarantee the seamless conduct of internal college exams. The committee is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the examination process. It is responsible for planning the examination schedule, ensuring that it aligns with academic calendars, creating test question papers.
It guarantees that the questions retain the appropriate degree of difficulty, are pertinent, and are in line with the curriculum. It also manages the day-to-day operations of the examination administration, including setting up exam rooms, assigning seats, conducting invigilation’s, distributing answer sheets, and gathering answer scripts. The committee also manages the assessment procedure, guaranteeing impartiality, precision, and privacy in marking. This committee might also deal with matters pertaining to result declaration and revaluation.
The Committee is responsible for guaranteeing the safety of all exam materials, such as electronic records, answer scripts, and question papers. It also covers any cases of misbehavior or malpractice that occur during exams. The purpose of the Examination Committee is to improve the overall quality and efficacy of examinations by proposing changes, implementing best practices, and taking stakeholder feedback into account.
FUNCTIONS:
- At the starts of session collection of current year academic admitted students’ data.
- To approve the tentative annual plan of first- & second-unit test date from the chairman.
- To approve the tentative annual plan of first- & second- term end examination date from the chairman.
- Preparing the exam attendance sheet for first- and second-unit test and also for term end examination respectively.
- Circulation of tentative exam schedule notice to faculty members.
- Display of tentative exam schedule on notice board for students and faculty
- Follow up of unit test to be conducted by various departments in the college.
- Circulation of term end exam notice to faculty members for setting and submission of question papers and maintaining confidentiality of it.
- Submission of exam question papers in charge of all courses where patterns, grading schemes, quality standards, Bloom’s taxonomy levels, and questions outside of the syllabus are examined by the paper setter itself.
- Creating guidelines for examiners, invigilator and students.
- Imposing penalties for fraud and malpractices and fine for absentee.
- Preparation of seating plan are displayed on notice board.
- Appointment of invigilators for invigilation duty should be done before examination.
- Invigilators are required to collect the necessary things like question papers, answers sheets, roll list and other required material for smooth conduct.
- Sending notification that it is mandatory for all concerned faculty members to retrieve the test section answer sheets, assess them, and submit them on time in accordance with the exam section. Setting of the question paper as per the guidelines of the college exam committee and SGBAU.
- Before submitting the answer sheets to the exam section, teachers are expected to present the evaluated answer sheets to worried students for their information and to address any concerns they may have about the evaluation.
- Students remaining absent from the above exams without sufficient reasons/permission shall be fined suitably, apart from any other disciplinary action. A score of less than 25% marks in any paper of the examinations will be treated as absence and shall be penalized accordingly, whereas students with persistently good performance in all the unit tests & annual preliminary examination will be given incentive.
- Submission of the assessed answer sheets to the examination section and recording the grades in the register.
- It is the duty of exam committee to resolve any complaints about the examination work that may arise.
- Maintenance of all examination-related records.

- Question papers are to be set finally by concerned faculty member as per SGBAU guidelines.
